Baggy Eyelids
|
| The
Ageing process, sun damage, and constant movement of eyes causes
thinning of the skin around the eyes as we grow old. The elasticity of
the skin decreases and hence it forms wrinkles and creases. The excess
skin forms folds, especially on the upper eyelids. These folds overlap
the upper eyelid and give you a tired look. This condition is called
Blepharochalasis. |

| The
deeper tissue called septum, which holds the eyeball fat inside, also
relaxes and hence it forms a bulge. This is noticeable in the lower
eyelid. All these changes can be reversed by a upper and lower eyelid
blepharoplasty. Read more in the link on blepharoplasty. |
