How do I go for the Yellow Peel?
If you want to undergo peel, firstly after the skin analysis, you will be given a skin priming program which constitutes mild exfoliation for 10 to 15 days along with moisturizing and sunscreen. Priming of the skin helps to make skin ready for the peel and get good results. After the priming phase is done, you can plan the peel.
How is it done?
After cleansing the skin with pre peel cleanser, an alpha and beta hydroxy acid peel is applied. This is followed by the yellow peel. It is left on till the right depth of penetration is achieved, or 20 mins, whichever is earlier. It may be reapplied if required.
What is the post peel care?
During the exfoliation phase, 3 to 7 days, the post peel recovery formula is to be applied for at least 2 to 3 times a day. AS the normal skin barrier is depleted, it is important to apply the post peel recovery formula and sunscreen. After that you can resume the skin care advised by the doctor.
How often should one have yellow peel?
It is recommended that one should do yellow peel once a month. You can repeat it for 4 months and then maintain it every quarterly to get sustained results.
What to expect during treatment?
During the phase of treatment there is exfoliation and regeneration of new cells leading to rejuvenation. Hence there is glow, reduction of blemishes and smooth texture of skin. After every session the effects are enhanced, though home care in between two peels is necessary to protect skin and maintain the results.
