Hymen is a thin membrane that covers the vagina. It has a small opening which allows menstrual fluid to come out. Commonly it gets ruptured on first sexual intercourse, but rarely it can get ruptured during sports and other physical activity.
Some women may feel the need to reconstitute their hymen for social, marital, or psychological reasons. This can be done by a surgical procedure called Hymen restoration or revirgination. With this procedure it is possible to restore the virginal status.
